For over a decade, we have been providing advocacy and individualized disability services for adults and children living with disabilities within a six state area, allowing our participants to live, learn and work successfully and enjoy their best life at home and in community settings. Bridges of Colorado Disability Services offers a unique adult disability program – Host Home Provider – to help adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities reach life goals with the support of a host home provider. Over the past 15 years, Bridges has transformed into a national company, now serving people with disabilities in six states. There is no one more powerful than a mother on a mission to help her children. This is where our story begins. Peggy Burlison, a mother of two sons, was told the options for her child with a disability were not the same as the options for her other child. This strong willed and highly educated woman took this as a call to action and founded Bridges. She sought to create an agency that would focus on advocacy and providing quality services. We instill in our employees this passion Peggy had, which motivates them to always strive to do their best. Our local team of Contract Managers have the knowledge and experience to assist each family through the network of State service requirements. By taking time to meet with each individual and family upon intake, we are able to ensure that individuals and families understand the complex nature of Home and Community Based Waiver Services.
